Michele Makros will discuss her book Love Letters from the Marine Wolf: A US Hospital and Transport Ship, an Army Medic Afloat, and a War Bride in World War II. The book is a biography of the USAT Marine Wolf, a World War II hospital and troop transport ship. Letters, documents, photographs, memorabilia, and testimonials of the shipmates of Army Transportation Command 9222 TSU TC are included in the book, specifically those of Sergeant Michael Makros Jr., the ship’s complement surgical technician.
