Martin Luther King, Jr. Papers  The King Papers Project produces a comprehensive multi-volume collection of King's most important correspondence, sermons, publications, speeches, unpublished manuscripts, and other materials.

Biography

 Biography and Genealogy Master Index   The Biography and Genealogy Master Index was begun in the 1970s to index these names to aid researchers. The text has been updated periodically since the first edition appeared in 1980, most recently in 2008. The index concentrates heavily on the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In addition to providing the individual's name, birth, and death dates (where available), the source document is included. Sources for this index vary from Who's Who of American Women and National Cyclopedia to American Biography to Directory of American Scholars and American Black Writers. This database is an essential tool for locating persons who appeared in a "Who's Who" publication in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Cyndi's List is a large comprehensive, categorized & cross-referenced list of links that point you to genealogical research sites online.

Findagrave is a simple to use and constantly growing database of cemetery, grave, and burial records.  


Mocavo is a genealogy focused search engine, with other features like the ability to save searches, build a family tree, and more.  Some features are available in the free version.  

Ohio History Connection Research Guides and Searchable Databases  This collection of searchable databases (many of which were created under the Ohio Vital Information for Libraries Center, a grant-funded project of OHS supported by the State Library of Ohio and OPLIN) includes: Online Documents, Online Research Tools, Online Services, and On-location Services.

SharedTree This free site offers open-source family tree sharing.  

WeRelate is the world largest genealogy wiki.  This is a free site.  
 

Hispanic and Indigenous Peoples History

Hispanic Heritage Month Resource Center  This site includes over 50 biographies, a five-century-long historical timeline and an assortment of activities including a culture quiz.

Native American History   Updated by the University of Washington, this site provides access to primary and secondary resources on Native Americans.

Native American Home Pages  This site has links to the many specific Indian Nations and tribes.  Updated regularly. 

NARA- Indians/Native Americans   This guide, from the National Archives, provides guides to the microfilm and paper resources at NARA as well as links to digital sources.

Ohio History Central Encyclopedia  Sponsored by the Ohio Historical Society, this is an evolving, dynamic online encyclopedia that includes information about Ohio's natural history prehistory and 'modern' history.  Each section contains helpful information, maps, timelines and images.  Links to related resources are available, too.
