Children ages 4 - 12 can join us to celebrate these mysterious, magical creatures with stories, crafts, games and a snack

Tween Tuesday

This Fall, Tween Tuesday programming will focus on Mindfulness.  After the stress of the past year, we want to create a space of calm while teaching our kids simple exercises to help manage stress and emotions, find focus, and face challenges of the new school year.  Each month will include an activity, craft and snack.
Tuesday, September 14: What is mindfulness?  This month we will practice being present and learn about quick journaling.

September 11 Remembered


To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the tragedy of 9/11, a brief documentary will be shown followed by a discussion about our individual experiences and memories of the day. This event will take place in the Spillette meeting room. No registration required.

National Coloring Day

Coloring isn't just for kids anymore. It is helpful as a stress reliever and as a way to express yourself artistically. Stop by the Reference Desk for coloring pages and colored pencils.

Wild Watercolors

Teens in grades 8 - 12, come to the gazebo at Lake Anna and make a masterpiece using watercolors in spray bottles. In case of inclement weather, the program will be held at the library in the Spillette meeting room.
