Library Construction

On April 12, 2016, the Library Board of Trustees met to consider bids received for a proposed construction/renovation project.  The project was awarded to Millstone Management Group.

Designed by architect Matthew Ross, the project encompasses an addition to house an improved Customer Services Department, lounge, and business center.  The renovation will relocate the Local History Room to the main floor and create an additional public meeting room on the lower level. The interior of the project was designed to not only make better use of the space, but to also reflect the beautiful view of Lake Anna. See a sneak peek of the interior design.

On the exterior, existing parking will be reconfigured to make the best use of all available space, including the property at 619 West Tuscarawas Avenue.  A drive-up book return will be added and the Uhl Reading Garden will be relocated to the Park Avenue side of the property.

The work began in May 2016 and the anticipated project length is six months.
